Ok. I gave Coffee Masters a bad rap on my last review because we got two shipments where the coffee beans were dry and light brown. See below. I decided to give them "one more shot" because we love this coffee so much. I am pleased to report that the last two shipments were like the original when we first started buying it..... Nice and dark and oily....... and perfect caramel flavor. It was great to have to wipe out my grinder again due to the oils in the beans! We have never had other manufacturers version of caramel flavored coffee that compares to this! We must have gotten a few bum bags. Stuff happens. Way to go Coffee Masters!---------------------------------My wife and I discovered this coffee at a Bed and Breakfast several years ago. When we first started buying it, it was the best of the best. It appeared to be dark roasted and was nice and oily. I used to have to brush it out of the grinder due to the oil and it was fabulous. In a previous review, I had given it 5 stars. I have not confirmed with Coffee Masters, but it appears they have changed how they roast and process it. In the last 2 shipments, it appeared to be lighter roasted and the beans were dry. Unfortunately, the flavor suffered as well. It is not nearly as rich and aromatic as it used to be. Sadly, I don't think I would purchase it again, unless they change back to the way it was processed before.
