I used this as my tankard for Burning Man. Everyone carries one on the at all times, so it needs to be resilient. I put a lot of thought into my cup choice, and I’m glad I did. This one met my needs perfectly. It’s 16oz which seemed the perfect size for coffee and cocktails. It has a handle which I love, and the handle is skinny enough I could easily clip it to my belt with a carabiner. It’s truly leakproof. Even when full and clipped to my belt swinging around, not a drop came out.And the top is double threaded so the handle can be on the right or left (for any lefty’s out there). As a righty it’s a little bit of a pain, I always seem to thread it the opposite way I want it. But I’ll suffer through screwing the top on twice for the benefit it gives lefties. The flip top has a magnet to hold it in place so it doesn’t flop onto your nose each time you take a drink. The flip top also has a locking mechanism. The the flip top and magnet piece popped out once, but I realigned it and used firm pressure to pop it back in, and I haven’t had an issue since. It’s insulated so cold drinks stayed cold longer than expected even during the insane heat. The bottom has a non-slip base so it wasn’t sliding around in the back of the RV when we were moving (or not moving during Exodus). It took a beating during the burn, and I would say my cup is still thriving. I continue to use it daily.I received this Toddy very well packed, I loved its vibrant color, it is leak proof as promised which is great!!!………I gave five stars because they deserve it, I only have one complaint, and that is (like it can be seen in the photos) the handle is a little damaged the paint…my husband says it doesn't matter, but I like to pay for something that is totally fine…I don't know if the seller will be able to replace this mug for me, I don't want to do without it because I love it…….I will give a new review about the seller's service if he answers me.Recibí mi taza Toddy muy bien embalada , me encantó su color vibrante, es a prueba de fugas tal y como prometen……di cinco estrellas porque lo merecen, sólo tengo una queja y es que (cómo se ve en las fotos) el asa está un poquitín dañada la pintura…..mi esposo dice que no importa, pero a mi me gusta pagar por algo que esté totalmente bien…..no sé si el vendedor me podrá reemplazar esta taza, no quiero prescindir de ella porque la amo…..daré una nueva reseña sobre el servicio del vendedor si me responde.I almost didn’t buy the BruMate because of complaints by some that the top was hard to align with the handle. Glad I didn’t listen to them. It’s actually really easy to screw the top on in the right location. The screw alignment really only has 2 entry points, one for lefties, and one for righties. In no time, you figure out which way you want to orient the lid.Drinks stay appropriately hot for a while, and cold for even longer. And, the build quality is super high. My favorite part, though, is that perfect handle.My only nit is that, it’s true, this is not a 16oz mug with the top in place. It’s probably more like 14oz because the top displaces some liquid. They really should have made it fit a full standard sized 16oz drink, with the lid on, to call it a 16oz mug for complete accuracy.Hopefully they fix that gripe one day by building it 2oz larger so it’s a true 16oz. But until then, I’ll be enjoying my hot (and cold) beverages in my new favorite insulated mug.I like this coffee mug quite a lot. It only seemed to keep my coffee hot for about an hour but fairly quickly cooled down after that. It is completely leak proof IF you get the lid on correctly which is a little bit of a pain but fairly easy when you learn how. I had to try a few times to get the lid on secure; where it's in the correct position to drink. I measured exactly 16 oz and it went close to the top. If I carefully and slowly screwed on the lid, less than an ounce spilled over, but of course once its that full, it can't easily be stirred. I am fine with the size of the mug, but the product info on size was a little off. I agree with the person who mentioned the luxe packaging for it. Very over done. Could have lowered the price by $7 or $10 with out that. Overall, I quite liked the mug, although too pricey.As a teacher I am always walking around with coffee and my yeti didn’t come close to comparing to my brumate. The fact that I can fully turn my cup upside down, throw it in my work bag, it can fall off of a table and yet there be no mess has been a game changer…so much so that I am slowly converting all of my teacher friends. It has been the best purchase I have ever made when it comes to a cup I can rely on every single time.I never understood why people would pay 25 dollars for an insulated mug. After purchasing this product, I understand now. When they say it’s leak proof, they aren’t kidding. I have filled this mug to the brim and thrown it in my work bag. Not one drop is spilt and it’s still hot following my morning commute. The lock feature is awesome. Will definitely be purchasing other Brumate products!The BruMate Toddy 16 oz 100% Leak Proof cup does exactly what it says! I have terrible insomnia and will only sleep on average about 4 hours a night before waking up. Once I wake up, I’ll fix my coffee and get back in bed propped up in bed listening to my podcasts or audiobooks. On the off chance I nod back off, I needed a cup that prevented a big coffee spill to rudely and quickly wake me back up. This cup has saved me from just that several times. I just make sure the lip is pressed down and the lock is then slid forward until I hear it click to know I’m safe in between sips. The BruMate has rolled out of my hand a time or two, locked in place, without a drop spilled once I snatched it back up. I definitely would recommend this cup to anyone with possible grip issues, crowded work areas where you want to protect valuable papers, or for fellow coffee loving insomniacs like me.Tried this cup out looks and feels great. Used it for a month I pour my coffee or tea in and I make sure the lid is on correctly and throw it in my back pack for later. When I’m ready I remove my cup from my back pack with no leaks and my beverage of choice is still hot. That’s a great feature, as well as the magnetic tab that hold the opening in place so it doesn’t fall back onto your nose. It doesn’t keep coffee piping hot, but I have yet to find any brand that does. Even yeti/swell do not live up to their promises, but this mug keeps it hot enough for me. I wouldn’t want to drink 8 hour old coffee or tea anyway.Someone mentioned in another review that this mug doesn’t hold 16 ounces, so I weighed it. When full time the brim (which you can’t do practically) it’s 17 ounces. I generally make 14oz of coffee and leave space for cream and have no problem. I think because of the shape it seems much smaller than it really is. See my attached photo of it weighing in at 17oz of water when filled to the top.It wasn’t cheap, but I adore the glitter and the size is perfect for me. I do lock the lid and throw it in my bag while I commute and it’s never leaked yet. Just be prepared if you purchase this size it will seem smaller than you expect when you receive it, but it’s not tapered which is why. I’m thinking about buying another.I was happy it came so fast as my original delivery date was the end of January however, I am extremely disappointed in this mug. It definitely does NOT hold 16 oz of anything!! It will barely take 10 oz! Also doesn't keep my coffee hot, it's cold within an hour. Doesn't fit in the cupholder in my truck either which is a pain.
